Sprat” Sign
Description: Ca. 1921 scarce Maxfield Parrish
illustrated framed and matted cardboard advertising sign for
Swift’s Premium Hams featuring great image of Jack and
his wife enjoying a Swift’s ham w/ their little dog patiently
waiting by table for scraps. Crisp and very attractive example
displays extremely well. Close up examination will reveal a few
non -offensive light creasing marks in background areas, a wear
spot in the outer area at upper right corner and small break
line in bottom left area with some faint non detracting scattered
foxing or mildew dotting. Overall clean and excellent with outstanding
bright and vibrant color.

Title: “Early
Autumn” Printers Proof
Description: Outstanding ca. 1939 large, very
attractive Brown & Bigelow
printers proof for Maxfield Parrish’s landscape art print
featuring New England fall foliage scene of church, covered bridge,
etc (dated 1936 in bottom corner). Clean and bright, w/ uncirculated
like colors. Print is excellent w/exception of some minor wrinkling,
a 5/8” tear
and light crease mark in the outer white border margin area and
a barely noticable non detracting crease line in bottom image
area.
